Lunch with Auntie Lesley

I met up with Auntie Lesley for lunch today.

Glad the waitress isn't a photographer and have no idea why I have my hand on my own bum but was good to catch up!

WOT! NOT a POT Noodle

I was horrified in Tescos today when I came across this shelf of 'Nations Noodles'!

Are Golden Wonder not aware they are World class! And they can't possibly consider changing the name of a Pot Noodle!
Still 50p 'aint bad!!

A few people on Eastbourne beach

To make up for yesterday's lack of human content in my blogging, here's a picture of what is was like on Eastbourne beach this afternoon. Just a few people attended Airbourne and had they not have charged £5 to go on the upper part of the bandstand, undoubtedly that would have been full too!

Fish and Flowers

For all those who are fed up with planes and people...

Fish and flowers!!

The fish are in a small Japanese garden in a place called Paradise Park where I took the kids this week, I don't think I've ever seen Koi in such concentration before and I hope this picture gives you some idea of what I mean!

The Lily just grew in a pot we were given that appeared to only have old mud in it and the sunflower was grown from a solitary seed that Max brought home from school!

Kids go off to day camp

As I went back to work last week Izzy and Max went off to day camp at the David Lloyd and although they didn't look best pleased about going, when I collected them I asked what they got up to. The reply came in unison and in list form... It went something like this...

We had breakfast

And then went to laser quest

And bowling

We had lunch

And went to Hampden Park

We went swimming

And had cake

We did arts and crafts

And then played football

And then you came and got us and we haven't finished playing...

High School Musical

The London production of High School Musical came to the Congress theatre this week and as it's one of Izzy's favourite films we had to go and see the show. Just Izzy and I went along and I have to admit I really enjoyed it!!

Lammas festival on the western lawns

Sams band Porvari played on the Western Lawns on the seafront yesterday. It was a great occasion with some weird and wonderful characters around. The weather was perfect and fun was had by all. I've spent about three hours trying to post a video clip to give you an idea and feel of the occasion but if it doesn't work this time I'm going to stick a couple of pics on and arrange a chat with my lovely technically minded brother Gary.

A ride on the train

A lovely lemur

In the zoo there's 'Lemur Land' where you can wander around with these lovely little guys. There's no enclosures or glass or any barrier between you and them at all. They literally crawl over your feet they really are rather lovely.

A nice flamingo

Standing on one leg, of course!

Izzy enjoys a slide

Izzy loved this slide and worked up quite a speed by the time she reached the bottom

BAAAAAA

Jay, Charley and Max acting (not very) sheepishly!

Some pictures from my week off with the kids
